First, you need to choose an instrument and acquire the correct drug addiction for that instrument. The drugs are much more important than talent.

GUITAR
1). Learn a chord
2). Learn a second chord
3). Leard one last chord. Now you know three chords!

5). You must become an ALCOHOLIC. If this fails, get hooked on DIET PILLS. Now you're ready to rock!!!!

BASS
1). Bass is exactly like Guitar, except there are 2 less strings, and you play one note instead of many. If you have a low IQ, bass is a good choice.
2). You must become a POT HEAD. Bass frequencies are useless you're higher than Jesus, tripping out of your mind. You need to be stoned ALL DAY. If this doesn't work, supplement your marijuana with GLUE SNIFFING. Trust me.
3). Good luck becoming a respected part of any band!

DRUMS
1). Study the greats, especially Animal from the Muppet Show. You should try to move & look exactly like Animal. Use meathooks if necessary.
2). Get good at mouthing drum beats, "Dubba dubba cha! Choosh choosh, dubba dubba brukka bram". Girls think gibberish is very sexy.
3). Your optimal drug is TRUCKER SPEED. In 1 second, you exert more calories than all the other band members exert in 2 hours. Methamphetamines will help you cope with this unique personal hell. If this does not work, try FARM-GRADE LAXATIVES.

VOCALS
1). Choose an appropriate subject for your lyrics. There are 5 possibilities:
_a). Your hatred for the other band members
_b). The size of your glands
_c). Meathooks (this is a popular choice)
_d). Your commute
_e). Epistemology of transcendental idealism
2). Do not practice. It is better to just grab the microphone and "wing it", forever. The other band members will look at you with disapproval and horror, but do not be discouraged. The robots programmed them like that.
3). You must become a HEROIN ADDICT. This will create a feedback loop of dramatic self-absorbed stupidity, which will cause the 5 lyrical subjects to flow into your soul, and into each other. You will be able to shoot fireballs.

PRODUCER
1). Put a drum loop on repeat.
